How It Works
1. Placing Your Order
Begin by selecting the color, carat, and cut of your preferred memorial diamond. These choices can be adjusted at any time before the diamond growth process begins.
A 50% deposit is required when you place your order, with the remaining balance due only after your diamond is fully grown and ready for delivery.
Once we receive your order, we will send you a collection kit.
To start your memorial journey, we will need half a cup of your loved one’s ashes or a lock of hair. Half a cup of ashes or 5 grams of hair can produce up to 3 carats of diamonds.
Sending Us Ashes
You have two options: we can provide a collection kit for you to return with half a cup of ashes, or you may send all the ashes, and we will return the remainder after extracting what is needed for your diamond. Funeral directors and cremation centers can also separate the required amount of ashes for us.
2. Carbon Purification & Diamond Growth Process
At our Houston lab, technicians will extract carbon from your loved one's cremated remains or hair, purify it, and use it to grow your memorial diamond. Small amounts of chemicals and gases may be added to achieve the desired color, although no chemicals or gases are added to our diamonds.
Growth Time
The growth time for memorial diamonds depends on their size. Smaller diamonds can be created in approximately 90 days, while larger ones may take up to 8 months.
3. Memorial Diamond Polishing & Setting
Once your diamond is created, you have the option to select a free jewelry setting. All of our diamonds are graded and certified.
Certification
All of our memorial diamonds are graded and certified in line with the highest international standards set by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
4. Secure Delivery of Your Memorial Diamond
Upon completion, your memorial diamond will be delivered securely and fully insured. You will receive tracking information, and a delivery confirmation signature will be required.
60-Day Guarantee
After receiving your memorial diamond, you have 60 days to have it independently inspected. If you are not completely satisfied with the carat, color, clarity, or cut, we will offer a regrowth or a full refund.
